With so many new doctors joining the HHMP team, we can now offer on the day appointments with a doctor or a nurse for most patients and most medical conditions.

While some of the longstanding doctors at HHMP may be booked up, many of the more recent additions to the doctors at HHMP can see you on the day. These doctors can always liaise with your usual doctor for more information if needed.  When seeing a patient of Dr Andrew Bowes (who retired at the end of Januray 2024), all doctors working from HHMP can access the previous notes recorded by Dr Bowes.

HHMP would like to welcome 3 doctors who will be joining the team from February 2024, Dr Lilijana Gorringe, Dr Sophia Song and Dr Brendan Xu. As a result more appointments and services will be available to local patients which is especially important since the recent retirement of Dr Andrew Bowes.

HHMP has always been a great option for GPs to set up their private practice. The new doctors fit well with the HHMP focus on education with Dr Gorringe being a senior medical educator and Drs Xu and Song high performing young doctors who are keen to learn and develop their skills. Dr Andrew Bowes has now retired 

After celebrating 40 years of working as a GP at HHMP on the 29th of January 2024, Dr Andrew Bowes retired on the 31st of January 2024. 

Dr Andrew Bowes is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a senior GP and Medical Educator. During his retirement, he will do some rural locum GP roles and continue doing medical education in Sydney and Vietnam. He will be missed by colleagues and patients alike.

Dr Bowes has held multiple handover sessions with other GPs at HHMP to make sure that his regular patients continue to get seamless care and follow up. If you are a regular patient of Dr Bowes and are not sure who would be a suitable doctor for you, please discuss this with our reception team.

HHMP would like to welcome Dr Pooja Rastogi, a female GP to HHMP. Dr Rastogi will start seeing patients at HHMP from early August 2022.

About Dr Pooja Rastogi 

Dr Pooja Rastogi is a senior GP registrar, completing her final training with the HHMP team.

Pooja grew up and went to school on the North Shore. She completed her Bachelor Of Medical Science from the University of Sydney in 2013 followed by a Doctor Of Medicine in 2017 through The University of Wollongong.

She proceeded to train at Royal North Shore Hospital gaining experience in a range of surgical and medical specialities including emergency medicine, geriatrics, colorectal surgery and paediatrics.

She further developed her skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as a Senior Resident Medical Officer at Westmead Hospital in 2020 where she completed a Certificate in Women’s Health (CWH). She has undertaken extra studies in paediatrics though the Sydney Child Health Program (SCHP).

Pooja enjoys the full breadth of general practice and treating patients of all ages. Her special interests include women’s health, sexual and reproductive health, paediatrics and dermatology.

Outside of work, Pooja enjoys playing all sports but especially swimming, squash and Pilates. She loves to travel and is an enthusiastic foodie who enjoys dining at new restaurants with family and friends.

About Dr Zoneia Wong 

Dr Zoneia Wong is originally from Vancouver (Canada), where she attended the University of British Columbia and obtained a Bachelor of Science in psychology. Zoneia subsequently moved to Australia where she completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at The University of Sydney.

Dr Zoneia Wong completed her internship and residency at the Prince of Wales Hospital and her GP registrar training in Nowra and Moss Vale; she became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015.  

Zoneia’s additional qualifications include a Diploma in Child Health and a Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health.  Having also completed the Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Zoneia is passionate about providing traditional General Practice care and looks forward to assisting you with all of your healthcare needs.

When Zoneia is not working, she enjoys doing outdoor activities with her family and, on occasion, falling for Netflix binge-worthy shows.

Thursday the 17th of March was St Patricks Day. This was celebrated by our practice team and it presented us with a great opportunity to unveil the new staff uniform.

HHMP has always been associated with green, and what a better time than St Patrick’s Day to unveil the new HHMP staff uniform.

Gone are the red shirts to be replaced by a modern green look more in keeping with the nursing uniforms and the general brand of the practice.

Universal Approval of the new HHMP uniform

The new uniform has received praise from all who have seen it. Both staff and patients alike have commented about the fresh, modern and professional new look. After having spent over a year researching options, practice manager Katrina Arcus said “I am so glad with the new look. The staff look fantastic and the patients have been very supportive”.
