Dr Tony (Anthony) Keane will retire from General Practice on the 30th of June 2021

Dr Tony Keane, started at Hunters Hill Medical Practice over 30 years ago. Since then he has proven to be a very popular General Practitioner and has looked after many patients in the local community. Dr Keane has been particularly involved in looking after children and the elderly.

Hunters Hill Medical Practice staff and patients will miss Tony’s great personality and medical acumen. Tony’s retirement has been some time in the planning and we have worked hard to recruit extra doctors to make sure that all patients can continue to be looked after when they need it. Tony and the practice have taken steps to ensure a smooth handover and continuity of care.

A Message to Patients of Dr Anthony Keane at Hunters Hill Medical Practice

To My Dear Patients,

I am writing to let you know that after more than 30 years, I am soon to retire from General Practice and thus Hunters Hill Medical Practice. My last consulting day will be Wednesday 30th June, 2021.

It has been my privilege to have been your doctor and to have assisted in your care over the years. I have met many interesting people from all walks of life, which has made my work so rewarding.

It has been a pleasure to treat so many families and children as they have grown up. Nowadays I am often reminded by my younger adult patients that I was responsible for their immunisations as infants.

I also would like to acknowledge my many older patients whom I hold in high regard. More   often than not a source of wisdom and good humour.

I have been fortunate to work alongside fine, supportive medical colleagues as well as excellent nursing and administrative staff. With regard to your future medical care, I know you will be in good hands at Hunters Hill Medical Practice. I would particularly commend Drs Leo Tam, Jade Tsen and Saranya Gopikrishna as young, highly competent doctors. Please call the practice on 02 9817 2080 for your medical needs.

I am now looking forward to spending more time with my wife, Rosemary, as we embrace a new phase in our lives and embark on new adventures together.

To my loyal patients, I will miss you and I thank you for the support you have shown me.

Warmest Regards

Dr Anthony Keane

MBBS, DCH, FRACGP
