Hunters Hill Medical Practice host local and international students as part of our focus on medical education
Hunters Hill Medical Practice has a long history of supporting medical education and has been privileged to host many local and international medical and nursing students. Teaching is part of the HHMP DNA. Having medical students is an enriching experience for our patients, our doctors and the students themselves.
HHMP has hosted medical students from:
- The University of Sydney (on a regular basis)
- Macquarie University (on a regular basis since 2019)
- Amsterdam University (elective students)
- Kathmandu University (elective students)
- The University of Newcastle (Primary care placement)
HHMP has hosted Masters of Nursing students from:
- The University of Sydney (on a regular basis)
Two times a year, HHMP also hosts 25 specialist Vietnamese doctors who are being introduced to General Practice. With the recent COVID-19 epidemic, our latest international medical student had to return home early, but we look forward to continuing to have local medical students in 2020 and international students when that is possible and safe.
