HHMP COVID-19 UPDATE
With the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in NSW we have to all re-double our efforts to keep each other safe and decrease community transmission.
Hunters Hill Medical Practice remains OPEN our usual hours and usual days during this period. We continue to offer both face to face consults and Telehealth (via video and phone). The multiple specialist and Allied Health services available from upstairs are also open and continuing to see patients face to face or via telehealth as needed. Appropriate precautions including social distancing, extra cleaning etc have been instituted to reduce the risk as much as possible.
We are lucky to have such large waiting area to allow for appropriate social distancing both upstairs and downstairs. Our cleaners are attending more often and our staff are right on top of extra cleaning during the day. Unfortunately the children’s toys and books have had to go! (see photo).
Please be mindful of your own and other’s wellbeing. If you have any respiratory symptoms, PLEASE CALL US FIRST rather than presenting to the practice. WE WILL TREAT YOU, but first we can advise you about the best way to be seen in a safe manner. We have taken a pragmatic and flexible approach to keep our most vulnerable patients and our staff safe. We are using people’s cars as waiting area for those with symptoms, we have a dedicated isolation room with it’s own entrance and we are sending prescriptions and referrals electronically when ever possible.
If patients are seen by telehealth we always have the capacity and an isolated room to see them face-face if required. If unsure always ask our staff.
